The BTO Amateur Motocross Team has come a long way since it’s rookie season last year. The team was happy to take home several amateur titles, and they hope to do the same in 2013. As the team evolves, BTO Sports strives to create more support for their riders, while simultaneously working to solidify a presence in the Amateur circuit.
“I really look up to the foundation Forrest Butler and Vince Arimitsu have created with the BTO Sports – KTM team. It serves as a great building platform to formulate growth throughout the amateur program. We’re looking forward to the future, and I’m excited to watch our team perform in the 2013 race season.” Mentioned Greg Picklesimer.

BTO was happy to re-sign Tyler Enticknap, Â Tyler Pantley, Cullin Park, and Colby Halpain again for 2013.
After being cleared to ride in January, Tyler Enticknap has had a positive comeback since his broken femur at the Dodge Amateur National. He’s been competing locally in Southern California with great results in the A class.
Tyler Pantley is recovering from an injury sustained at Mini O’s. Pantley is scheduled to be ready to ride in a few weeks, and should have a great year on his supermini, while simultaneously training on his new 125.
Cullin Park will be returning to the 85 9-11 class this year full time. Cullin has continued to progress since Loretta’s, and will be racing the Daytona RC SX this weekend which he won last year on his 65.
Colby Halpain will return to the 9-11 class with more experience and speed after a respectable 2012. Colby has been training hard this off season and looks forward to 2013.
New team riders for 2013 are Troy Graffunder, Tallon Lafountaine, Jesse Sanchez, Derek Kelley, and Ethan Mann. Â Welcome to the team!
Troy Graffunder earned himself a title in schoolboy 2 at Loretta Lynn’s in 2012, and is expected to perform well in the B class for 2013.
Tallon Lafountaine is jumping right into the B class after a solid year racing C. Tallon has shown natural talent and continues to improve at an impressive rate.
Jesse Sanchez is a young kid who already has 1 year of B class experience under him, now a year older, and a year faster, Jesse looks to improve when his wrist heals. We’ll miss him in the Spring Nationals, but keep an eye out for him come World Mini.
Derek Kelley will be advancing from the 85 class looking to progress his career in schoolboy 1 and 2. It’s safe to say he looks very comfortable on his RM 125.
Last but not least, Ethan Mann will be competing in the 65 and 85 classes this year. Ethan has had a very successful career on the 65, and looks to keep his momentum rolling while transitioning to the 85.
RIP Jantz Grodzicki
