Here’s the scoop from the offices of ISOC themselves:

MINNEAPOLIS (Sept. 26, 2012) – Officials with ISOC and the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series (ACSS) are pleased to announce the addition of the U.S. 27 Motorsports Snocross National, rounds nine and ten of the 2012-’13 ACSS, presented and hosted by the popular Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel – right in the heart of the Winter Wonderland’s heavily-traveled winter tourist destination.

Scheduled for the weekend of Feb. 8-9, the ACSS is the world’s premier snocross (‘motocross on high performance snowmobiles’) tour, a showpiece in 2013 for Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa & Chippewa Indians owned and operated Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel considering the countless nearby options for snowmobile enthusiasts!

“We have hosted snocross events in the past, and love the pure excitement they bring to our corner of Northwest Michigan. After last year’s dismal winter, we are bringing it back full-throttle, increasing the caliber to a national level with the biggest names, fastest machines, and epic freestyle jumps, which will be a thrill for everyone,” commented Rich Bailey, CEO of Grand Traverse Resort & Casinos. “With the area’s lake effect snowfall and snowmaking equipment, combined with the natural terrain of Turtle Creek, it’s going to be an amazing winter playground for the riders and fans.  The addition of the freestyle competition ups the adrenaline ante even more,” added Rob Sineway, General Manager of Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel.

Worldwide stars of snocross racing will be on hand at Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel, including X Games gold medalist and snowmobile distance jumping record holder Levi LaVallee; Tucker Hibbert, the all-time winningest snocross racer and holder of an unmatched five-straight gold medals at Winter X Snocross and winner of the most ACSS events and championships in history; Canada’s Tim Tremblay, the defending ACSS overall Pro Open class champion, along with top snocross pros Ross Martin, Robbie Malinoski, Darrin Mees and Michigan’s own Kyle Pallin (Ironwood).

“ACSS is thrilled to align ourselves with such an enthusiastic event partner at Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel,” said Carl Schubitzke, Director of Operations and Racing for ISOC, the producers and promoters of ACSS. “Snocross racing in the heart of Michigan’s snowmobile country. Already we consider this to be one of our premier events on the national tour. It’s a perfect match and one that we’re confident will be the foundation event for future ACSS tour stops at Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel for many, many years to come.”
